Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before booking an appointment or using the services of Monika Teczar Mobile Notary Services ("we," "us," "our") via our website monikateczarnotary.com.
1. Booking & Scheduling
By scheduling an appointment, you agree to provide accurate contact information, physical location details, and document descriptions. All appointments are subject to notary availability. We reserve the right to decline services that do not meet state legal requirements or ethics codes.
2. Notary Fees & Travel Costs
Our fees consist of two parts:
- Indiana State-Regulated Notary Fees: Standard fees per notary signature/stamp as set by Indiana state regulations.
- Mobile Travel Surcharge: A travel fee calculated based on mileage, venue (e.g., hospital, jail, residence), and time of day.
Interactive cost estimates provided on our website are approximations. The final fee will be confirmed and agreed upon before notarization occurs.
3. Client Responsibilities & ID Requirements
It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure that:
- The signer is alert, willing, and mentally competent to execute the document.
- The signer possesses a valid, government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver's license, passport, state ID) at the time of the meeting. Expired IDs cannot be accepted by law.
- The documents are fully filled out (except for the signature fields) and printed before the notary's arrival.
4. Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Cancellations made less than 2 hours before the appointment, or situations where the notary arrives but cannot complete the notarization due to lack of ID, document incompleteness, or lack of willingness/capacity of the signer, will incur a trip charge equal to the travel fee.
5. Disclaimer
I AM NOT AN ATTORNEY LICENSED TO PRACTICE LAW IN THIS STATE AND I MAY NOT GIVE LEGAL ADVICE OR ACCEPT FEES FOR LEGAL ADVICE. We do not verify the legal validity, truth, or enforceability of the documents being signed. Our sole function is to identify the signer, witness the signing, and complete the state-mandated certificate.
6. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of our services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to conflicts of law principles.
